Walk! Just around the house is fine. If it's not uncomfortable you can even twist at the waist! This is the only thing that helped me! Good Luck!

Nessa, I am 2 years post op and last year when I got really constipated and had to call my surgeon and ask him what to take. If normal methods are not working you may be impacted and it will require something stronger to help work out the problem. It is not a good idea to continue to do this without medical advice. I really hope you feel better because I know how miserable you are feeling.

According to your profile, you're very newly banded. Call your doctor because nausea can lead to vomiting and vomiting is dangerous with the band. Plus, you don't need to be straining with constipation so soon after surgery.

Call your surgeon ASAP.

I was so severely constipated after my surgery that I ended up drinking about 1/4 cup of Magnesium Citrate to make me go. Yes I had the nausea, vomiting, cramping, it was awful. My dr suggested this. Good luck
