Hey Kateeryn, I'm also having my surgery at Nyu, with Dr Kurian. I haven't got my date yet but it should be the last week in February. they wanted me to have a sleep apnea test done before, I get the results tomorrow , after that I will be getting a date!

Abbie, I hear great things about Dr Kurian. My pre op diet is different (7 days liquid) but I'm getting rebanded so I wonder if that's why? I'd love to have solid veggies! Maybe it varies by surgeon, Dr Ren had me on this diet 8 years ago, too. Yeah it IS hard!

are any of you telling anyone about your surgery? how open will you be about your weight loss?

I decided not to tell anyone but my husband... we all know that this is going to be a LOT of work and I'm not going to have anyone judging or diminishing the accomplishment.
