Anali - 3 pounds is awesome! I've lost 1 pound so far. Today was much easier. I'm still not eating the bars and my doctor's office didn't call me back, but I'm okay for now with what I did today. I'm glad your day was better too. We're in this together :)

Ladybabie - is it getting any easier on Day 4? How's your level of energy? I live in NYC and by the time I get home after all that walking with so little "fuel" in my body, I'm totally drained.

I'm from Brooklyn, but I live in Washington Heights now.

How's Day 3 going?

I talked to my doctor. He said I can try another brand of Protein bar, just be careful of the nutritional value especially the fat content. I'm looking into maybe the Kashi bars....

Congrats on your upcoming surgery. I am scheduled for band w/plication on Jan. 21. I am on day 6 of the pre-op diet. I am doing better than I expected but today has been harder since it's the weekend (too much free time!)

Hi! Congrats on your date! Today was tough for me too. I cheated (a little) and had a Healthy Choice chicken noodle Soup. Being home has messed up my routine a little, but I'll be back on track tomorrow. (6 lbs down :) )

Hows it going? This wknd was a little bit of a struggle, but no cheating unless you consider replacing a shake with extra steamed veggies? I dont consider that cheating but who knows, highly doubful. But I must say the wknd was harder, but I survived as predicted lol...how is everyone holding up?!

Good morning girls! For some reason I couldn't get on the site yesterday to reply to everybodys comments. Anali, you are right about the weekend being harder and I am jealous that you can have steamed veggies. I did pretty good but think I ate to much Soup last night. I was hungry yesterday and couldn't wait until dinner so that I could have something other than a shake. Since last Wednesday I have lost 8 pounds so I think that is pretty good. I am hoping to be down another 8 this week. We will see. I am so excited that Anali put her post on a couple of weeks ago regarding the date of her surgery and now we are all in it together. We can do this and it is so awesome to have such good support!

Hi ladies. The weekend was hard wasn't it? I'm 8 lbs down also since Wednesday (go us!), but I got some bad news today. I'm diabetic. My new blood work shows 7.1 hemoglobin a1c. I made the decision to get banded to try to avoid this outcome because all 4 of my grandparents are diabetic and so is my mother. Now I have to call my surgeon to see how that affects the pre-op diet.

Mimi, sorry to hear your news. I will say a prayer for you. Hopefully this news doesn't change anything as far as the surgery is concerned. Let us know when you can.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
