Hi guys! So I'm feeling so much better than I did when my gallbladder came out in June! My husband is so excited that I'm not whiney and mean this time around! My only problem is my cut above my belly button HURTS so bad! And my doctor only prescribed me Lortab ELX in liquid and its not keeping me asleep. Other than that I've had some sf Jello, broth and a Popsicle. I'm feeling a little hungry but in a few hours I can have a Protein shake! Yummy! I think I may call in the am to get some stronger stuff to keep me asleep longer, cause its killing me!

I really like the equate brand that's equivalent to slim fast, but my doctor said get the premier brand from costco, causes it has only 1 gram of sugar and 30 grams of Protein. I don't care for it but its ok I guess. It filled me up and I only drank 3/4 of the box. He luckily prescribed me a different medicine so hopefully I can sleep tonight! So nothing's working for you?? I'm sorry. Are you waking?

I am walking a lot. It took me a few times yesterday but I got in at least a mile. I bought the bags of Protein from costco. I don't love them but they are better than ones I had bought online which were almost as nasty as that crap they give you in an upper GI. Have you tried any Jello or chicken broth?

Ya I've been eating a little bit of Jello and my husband made me some chicken bouillon last night which is so yummy! I walked aground Walmart and rite aid today! I'm tired but I can feel the gas pains getting better. I got some knorr onion Soup today and am about to eat that, I'm just straining the onions out so I don't have to chew. I've already lost 4 lbs too! Since yesterday! How about you! Are you home now?

I am going to have to try the Knorr onion Soup strained, too. Never thought of that and I LOVE that stuff. I did poop yesterday and it was normal BUT I didn't poop the day before surgery so it was probably from then. I am afraid to see what this is going to look like since I am only having liquids. The gas pains do feel a little better but with the amount of walking I have done I should feel WAY better, lol! My surgery was Thursday and I came home the same day, luckily. I so loathe these Protein shakes cause they are too sweet. I am wondering instead of 8 oz. of milk, could I use 10 oz. so it isn't so gross? Had Campbell's Tomato Soup with skim milk before and it was SO good and filling. I am going to venture out to Shop Rite after everyone eats tonight. My mom is staying with us so that my husband can get to work on time and she can get the kids on the bus. I haven't weighed myself. I am afraid to cause I think if the scale says I have lost nothing OR is up a pound or two cause I am so damn constipated, I am going to be pissed, lol! Good for you on your 4 pounds. Awesome!

I believe that you have lost weight! You should weigh yourself, it gave me such joy to know that just in the last 2 days of being in pain. It's been worth something! I don't like Tomato soup but it sounds good! I might try it! I actually pooped yesterday and it was great! Now I can pass gas freely too and it's amazing! I actually woke up with a fever this morning of 102! I called my doc and he prescribed me antibiotics for 7 days, I felt horrible this morning! I was so nauseous! And sweating like crazy, so hopefully I don't have an infection in one of my incisions!

I've been drinking the canned Protein Shakes, but I can't even finish 1 without getting too full!

Aww, I hope you feel better. And I pray you don't have a stomach virus. Take it as easy as you possibly can.

I had some Campbell's 98% fat free cream of chicken Soup mixed with a can of skim milk for dinner. Had to strain it cause there are small pieces of chicken in it but it was really good! I had half of it for dinner and will have the other half tomorrow.

My Protein mix is 27 g and then I add 8 oz. of skim milk for another 8 g of protein so I only need 2 a day but I just find them disgusting.

Btw, I pooped again today. It was the highlight of my day, lol!! How sad! :-)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
