Anything you can put in a blender. tuna salad, chicken salad, chilli, be careful of mashed potatoes, they are yummy and easy to get down, but not what you really need to be eating. I got a rotissaire chicken put it in the bullet with a bit of broth and yummo. (especially after 4 weeks of liquids)

My Dr said anything that can be chewed to a puree form is acceptable. However you need to be careful you dont swallow something before its pureed.... so like wildrose said... use a blender. I ate alot of tuna, cottage cheese, applesauce, Soup, carrots mashed and hummus. Lots of people like yogurt and Beans as well. You can do navy beans in a crock pot and cook them down for a few days... lots of good Protein. .

Hey guys I'm allowed to have mushy foods... Any recommendations? Pretty tired of ice chips' date=' Jello, Popsicles, and Soup lol. Thank :)[/quote']

Lasagna filling!

I cooked frozen spinach with a dop of Water and puréed it. Then I layered ff ricotta cheese, spinach, Tomato sauce, sprinkle of Parmesan. I sprinkled nutmeg on top of the ricotta layer.

Nuke that baby and enjoy!

After preop and liquid phases it is SO GOOD!

( Substitute spinach and tomato sauce for canned pumpkin. for an extra treat.)

I put everything in the blender - even bacon and eggs for Breakfast. It sounds horrible but it actually tastes completely normal, there was no difference.

And I ate it with a baby-spoon and bowl to make sure I was super slow and ready for it.

Literally anything that my family was having to eat - I would put in the blender and eat it as well :)

But of course - be careful and EAT SLOW and tiny bites (use a babyspoon if you need help)

Make it into mush in your mouth even though it's already blended

A good substitute for mashed potatoes is steamed cauliflower. Get it really super soft and thrn mash it up and add some milk or sour cream for a bit of a consistency adjustment and whatever seasonings you like...it will taste just like mashed potatoes and you would never know it was actually cauliflower and way healthier for you.

I stuck all my steamed vegtables in my blender added chicken Soup to it and it was yummy 3 times a week. Then I did the same with blended beef and beef soup. As long as its not chucky you should be able to have it. Just watch the carbs and calories in what you put in the blender.

This is a serious question and not a dig at anyone. Is it really good to blend all your foods for mushy? My dr had me eat things like chunk light tuna, canned chicken, Beans. I never was told to blend anything excpet for Soups when I was on liquids. If you blend isnt it doing most the work you are supposed to be teaching your teeth to chew?

That is the soft food stage where you teach your teeth. The mushy stage is blended foods. This stage doesn't last too long for most of us but it is the gradual between full liquids and soft food phase.

Clear liquid

Full liquid

Mushy

Soft

Regular

In that order.

Did you maybe miss that stage or forget that you did it? Everyone's dr is different so maybe you didn't have that one. My mushy stage only lasted 8 days.

I did mushy foods but not puréed. Like I said I ate tuna, chicken, Beans things like that. I was told to let my teeth purée. I did not miss a stage that is just silly. I guess our doctors just have different views.

During my mushy stage, my doctor had me puree my food too so I took what my family was having for dinner and put it in blender w/ some sort of liquid (salsa, broth, etc). The only thing they didn't have me puree during this time was cottage cheese or scrambled eggs.

My doctor also has me do this after a fill. (liquids day 1, mushy day 2). Enjoy being able to eat. It may look less than delicish coming out of blender but it usually tastes good.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
