What size do you want to be?

Anything in regular sizes would be groovy. Just shopping in regular stores is my goal... once I get there, I'll reset expectations. I can just imagine how much fun that will be! My credit card will be smokin.

I started at a 22W and XXL mens shirts. My goal was size 12 but I am in a 10 now and medium womens shirts.

I'm 5'8 & started at a size 24. I'm currently fitting comfortably in a size 18. I would love a size 10, but I'll see when I get there!!

Right now, I am in a 28 and sometimes 30 in shirts. I would be beyond thrilled to fit into a size 10. I am 5'4". Goodness, I can't wait to be banded at the end of this month.

Being a man we worry about sizes also.!! I wear a size 52 waist and 4x shirt but plan on a 38-40 waist and a xl shirt when banded!!!

For the past few years, I was around 16. Right now I'm wearing a size 20 -- which I HATE of course. I'd do a jig naked in the streets of NYC if I could get down to a 12. Haven't seen a 12 in about 7 years. I'm 5'8 with a medium to large build.

I don't care what my BMI says, it is a scale and so it lies too.

I could be 190 and wear a size a 12 and I would sink like a rock in a pond. Not fat, but solid.

I would love anything 14 or down. I topped out at 22/3X shirts and I'm an 18/1X shirt now. I haven't been below 14 since college..............I am only 5'3"

I started at a 26/28 and would love to see size 10. I just can't imagine that though! I haven't seen size 10 since kindergarten! :) I am currently in 22 jeans but still 24-26 tops. It seems like I'm losing faster from my waist down that in my top part.

Has anyone ever had the idea of having a clothes swap, etc.? So many of us are at different stages and since we won't stay there long, wouldn't it be nice if we could all swap around clothes and save us tons of money on "pass-thru" sizes??

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
