Taking Suggestions for NEW LBT Features!

Recommended Posts

I'd like a blank space where I could type in one or two words quickly to find something I'm looking for. For example, I could type in the word "motrim and all the threads with "motrim" come up. Maybe you have this already, but I can't find it. This would make searching for things much easier.

Can there be a sticky for resizing pics? A mb limit?

I love to see before and afters of both weightloss and the plastic surgeries.

I am the only one left in the world who has dialup. I know, lame, but it takes forever to load such large files.

Also, it must be eating up your bandwidth>??

I would like to know how to resize a pic, how to change my name from sfeiner to munch2much (if you can do it for me, that would be great) and how to stop the email notifications of new postings. Thanks much

Maybe this is already in play, but to be able to quote just a portion of what someone says, instead of quoting the entire post, would significantly reduce space... I think you get what I'm trying to say, anyway!

A nice new feature could be the date each response within a thread was posted.

It shows that info already. Look at your post:

Angleface, welcome to LBT--there is a search tab at the top of the page, it allows you to type in key words, and either search threads or posts....

TownDrunk (the name makes me LOL) Once you go advanced with the quote you can delete the unrelated parts, and leave the part you want quoted as well as the OP's name. Thats what I do, I am usually only responding to one section of a post.

And finally Mollybrown....I don't know where you mean, the date is in the tan/orange section above each post. Is there another place?

I love some of the new thread ideas!

I can see where they would benefit several groups of people.

I still miss having the new posts on the top of the main page---I met a lot of people that way, in threads I normally would not have responded to.

And the calendar may have been eliminated in the last redo----after Alexandra responded.

Happy New Year!!!

Kat

I have been on this site for 2 months and still haven't figured out how to get my ticker posted on my profile. I haven't seen any instructions on how to make this happen.

thanks for starting such a great site. i love it. what about buying stock in the lbt?

Photo resizing.

For message boards/forums I have only used photobucket. Their interface has changed since I first tried it but it is all explained in the site.

The site is free. You upload your photos then resize them. you can cut and paste their code and your pitcures appear in your post.

It really is way simpler than i am making it sound.

New Posts:

I always have just clicked New Posts up top there next to FAQ.

Hi Alex - I'm new to the site, thanks for creating it! There is another forum (completely different subjects) that like you guys, used to use email to alert you when new posts came in, but now they have this really great link at the side of your screen that says "Participated Discussions" and when you click, you're taken to a page of the threads you've posted in, and the ones with new posts rise to the top... so you just come to the site and click there, no need for emails (unless you want them) -- it's really great.

if you reply to a thread, it becomes a "subscribed" thread, and will appear under the "quick links" button

To get a ticker, all you have to do is click on someone's ticker.

It should bring you to the spot where they got their ticker. You pick out what you want. Then it will give you the codes. You have to go to the top of the board and their is a place for your signature. Copy and paste the codes into your signature.

If I didn't explain it well enough, go to thread search and type in

ticker. There is somewhere on this board that gives very good instructions.

I did see that -- what I'm talking about is similar, but a bit different... also, the ones with new posts rise to the top --- but thanks miztrniceguy!

I like a lot about the LBT format. The hover-over, New Posts, subscribed threads, the ability to select only the forums I wish to see posts from - very nice job!

I haven't read all the pages of the thread, so I'm sure it's been suggested, but it would be nice to have a forum for BMI Over 50, not just a thread.

Thanks for making it a nice place!

Alyson

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...
