Taking Suggestions for NEW LBT Features!

Recommended Posts

it would be nice to filter through threads by date. Much if not all the information is valuable but sometimes I want to see if Im able to communicate with people who are activly posting still so I can get a responce.

Make the "Search" feature more efficient. For example, the results should show posts of searched item instead of a thread where you have to swim through pages of info that doesn't pertain to your search. I just don't get the expected results when using the search button. It's easier to create a new thread in some cases.

Thanks!!

I agree 100%. Well stated.

How about a lonely post section. I find myself looking for threads with no posts to see if I can help them. I have started some threads myself and didn't get a response and it kinda hurts a fellows feelings.

You are a really lovely person!

I posted this elsewhere, but here's a suggestion -

"I know that most of the questions have already been asked somewhere before, and sometimes the question has been asked one, two, or three pages in one thread. That I can scroll through. But, I mean, I've got a little kid, a hectic life, it's hard to scroll through HUNDREDS of pages to find the answer sometimes needed. In the FAQ's and References thread, it tells how the lapband works, but it doesn't answer questions like "How does it feel when I get stuck?", those kinds of questions that do get asked repeatedly. Now, if someone were to post really commonly asked questions in this section, I think a lot of the problem of the repetitiveness would be solved.

What about a section to discuss obesity counseling?...How to find a counselor, counselor recommendations, etc.? In the same vein, also adding a section for nutritionists; how to find a nutritionist, nutritionist recommendations, etc?

If y'all can fix the edit function, that would be great. I've never seen another Vbulletin site that inserts those dang smileys everywhere.

I'll admit to being a computer idiot! I've searched the LBT site trying to figure out how to insert one of the weight loss ticker thingies and can't figure it out.

I'm sure once you tell me, I'll realize how simple it was.

I had the procedure done in Toronto on Nov 29th and am into my 'pureed' phase and just found this forum...and am looking forward to doing lots of reading.

ignore the fact that the link says "trying to conceive" There are a bunch of different types of tickers on the main website and you can choose weight loss.

I think it would be nice to have a section with recipes in each stage of the post-op diet.

By the way, I love this forum.

Hi Alex - I'm new to the site, thanks for creating it! There is another forum (completely different subjects) that like you guys, used to use email to alert you when new posts came in, but now they have this really great link at the side of your screen that says "Participated Discussions" and when you click, you're taken to a page of the threads you've posted in, and the ones with new posts rise to the top... so you just come to the site and click there, no need for emails (unless you want them) -- it's really great.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
