2 months post op and I just realized last night that I have not had heartburn even once since I started my pre op opti. Guess I can get rid of those giant bottles of Tums at home and work!!!

That's great! Did you need a hernia repair with LBS? I did and evidently I had silent reflux. I never had heartburn, but endo showed years ago damage to esophagus from acid. Since then I take 1 Prilosec daily.

Really glad you're not suffering anymore!

Isnt it great to realize just that little thing. I use to take five medications for my stomach and now I only take prilosec until I have my gallbladder out Dec 11th.

I too tossed out the heartburn meds.... Unless its a coincidence... It tells me heartburn is a direct result of eating fatty foods.

Congratulations

me too its great

I never had bad reflux, coffee would give me heartburn, tea sometimes, ground beef. I still eat/drink all of those but haven't had an ounce of heartburn since. I did not have a hernia repair.

Great NSV, thanks for sharing!

I also had a hernia repair and now have no heartburn! Love my band!
