Banded 11-5-12

Hi im new here i was just recently banded i have the iband i have my first fill appt on Monday but i was surprised by how much i was able to eat yesterday lot less than last yr but still prob 1.5 cups of food is this normal?

Yes, it is. You have NO fills or very little restriction even with the band installed. The fills will constrict the opening of the new pouch. and it will take longer to eat and your full sensation will eventually get longer in time, so you won't eat more than a cup of food. Certain foods we eat will allow us to eat more than a cup because the foods (Soups in general) drop right through the opening anyway with or without restrictions. You will always have an opening, so we must make wise choices on the foods we still eat after the band.
