As I read I see that most docs want their patients to have 2-3 shakes a day . . . How is that possible if you are only suppose to eat 3 meals a day? Where do you fit in 100% juice, tea and broth?

I'm starting to be hungry ALL of the time! I don't want there to constantly be something in my pouch. . . I would feel so guilty if it stretched!

well, you are healng so you will get more hungry..you have to really over indulge alot to stretch..so no worries...

the more you drink, the less you eat (and satisfies if you arent truly hungry..as it does me)....and helps me fell (full)

I don't have to do 3 shakes a day. I do Tomato Soup w/ scoop of Protein. I had some potato Soup blenderized today, Protein shake, apple sauce, and tea and Water.

Starshine33, when is your post-op appointment and when us your first fill?

My post-op is Dec. 3

My first fill is Dec. 11

Dec. 11th seems so soon. . . I guess I'm worried about the soreness! Hopefully it'll be gone by then!

Mine post op is Nov 27 and fill is Dec 10th! I feel like the fill is very soon as well compared to what others say. Your doc numbs the area(mother in law was banded by Snow), mine doesn't at all:( I hope we can't feel our incisions by then. Well really I can only feel my big one.

I don't want a fill until I am ready and my doc is ok with that. That was a big concern for me! If I am losing steady weight without a full, I won't ever get one :)

It feels like I need to go see the chiropractor! Guess it's all part of the healing process!

I told my husband that I'm going for a massage as soon as I can!

Vanessa, love that you are listening to your body! I have only had one fill and am 10 months out. It is a lot of head games too so listen to your body. I did not feel like I needed one at all, but my dr wanted me to have something in my band because your stomach changes as you lose weight. Good luck to you!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
