One Month Since My Surgery

Recommended Posts

It's official it has been one month since my surgery, October 18, 2012!!!! I go for my first fill on November 28, I'm a little scared and anxious at the same time.... I have not been on a scale since I went in for a follow up a week after my surgery. Should I be concerned if I've gained weight, I feel as though I have lost a few more pounds.... I still have some discomfort where my port is...

The port is the last to fully heal and can cause problems if bumped, even now for me, one year out. Good luck on your weigh in, I predict success!

I have a question for you. You seem to be a veteran bandster...lol. My doctor told me after my surgery. That I should be able to drink a cup if Water. He said the band is just on. But, I felt some restriction afterwards. Now! I can eat like I use to before surgery. Just not as much. I can't wait until my first fill. The second week of December.. What u think?

Plush diva, I'm not who you directed the ? At but from my experience ( banded 10/5) my dr told me the same thing and I was swollen after surgery so felt restricted for a week or so then I could eat whatever. I didn't mind you but I felt like I could have. Sipping Water was a breeze. I had my first fill 11/5 3cc and I feel a little more restriction. Not too much but enough to keep me fuller that right out the gate. Hope that helps!

Pre-op 275.9lbs -surgery 10/5 265.0lbs -11/11/12 241.8lbs

I still have no restrictions :( I guess I'm one of the people that it's going to take a couple of fills before I feel restrictions. I'm happy I'm down 20lbs since 10/28. How do u feel?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
