What Are You Averaging In Cals Daily Post Op?

I am getting in my own head today thinking i ate too many cals. I have a cold and im so hungry today. I had 717 cals, and i am still on mushies. I am 11 days post op and this is the most cals ive had. My dr didnt set a limit, just wants to focus on healing. I know i am being ridiculous, but i amam nervous for having that many

That's way too little calories, however eating more will be much easier once you're on solid foods again.

I measure everything exactly and stick with my dr's rules. They said to eat about 6 meals a day at this stage, which is what i am doing.

I need to tell my brain to shut up lol. 717 cals was following my drs orders of 6 meals. :)

That is quite low. Like Missy said, it will get easier to get enough calories when you begin eating solid foods. I eat between 1000-1200 calories/day, and have consistently lost between 1-2 lbs. (sometimes more) per week. Relax and concentrate on healing. That is the most important right now.
