Please Read If You Don't Like Your Photo Being Taken.

Recommended Posts

I loved this... Someone sent me the email because I don't like my photo being taken! I'm happy they forwarded it onto me.

For the last 5 years or so I've put a lot of weight on and for that reason I hate the way that I look. I don't like people taking my photo. I have 2 gorgeous kids and there is only a coupe of photo's of me with them. After reading this I have a few more photo's now. I'm considering lap band surgery and have an appt to see a surgeon in 2 weeks. Fingers crossed my surgeon approves me and I can make up for all the photo's I should have taken. It's definitely worth a read.

LOVE THIS!! As a photographer I am rarely on the picture with my kids, time to rearrange that and make sure they have those memories long after I am gone and to pass on my story to their own little ones :)

Great article! Does make you realize it's about the memories, not vanity.

Your welcome for the read. I'm sorry dee257 for your loss. I hope you and your family are doing ok!

The story definitely makes you want to be in more photo's for your family. For me it's actually making sure I do it.

We actually had family photo's taken a few weeks back which I wasn't overly happy about. I thought if I had 6 months longer I will or hopefully will have the lap band and will look better in the photo's. After reading the story it makes me think well I'm glad that I had them done when I did as i have said what if or i'm going to all my life. I'm not exactly happy with all the photo's but I now think back to the story and i'm ok with it as I'm making memories for my family.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
