1/2 Cc Not Gonna Make A Difference?

Recommended Posts

well my word of advice. I just had rapid weight loss 50lbs in four months. Guess what? Im having my gallbladder removed because of it. Lose the weight slowly. Your gallbladder can not keep up with all the cholesterol the liver is dumping in it there fore making stones. Lose it slow even though you want more. Its not worth the risk.

Cheryl, I am so sorry to hear about your gallbladder having to be removed! My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm sure you're not excited about having yet another surgery. Will this affect your continued weight loss?

yes, 1/2cc will make a difference! I have never been stuck since getting my band July 2011 till last week after having a 1/2cc October 30!

I am debating if I should cancel my appointment for Tuesday after Thanksgiving since I am right where I need to be I think.

(had a little stuck episode today but it passed thank god)

Thanks everyone! I was in a really good spot until just recently, I thought once you got into green you were good and didnt need anymore fills.

As you lose more weight you will have to get fills because you also lose fat where the band is and will need to be adjusted accordingly.

I was thinking the same thing. I have an appointment for Monday but since I'm steadily losing again, do I really want to mess with it? I haven't been able to go over 4.5 cc in a 10 cc band in 28 months.

1/2 cc can make a huge difference but I'm not convinced that I need to risk another round of reflux. Tight does not equal healthy...

I am PB 4 to 5 times a day I have an appointment next Thursday just wondering how much should I remove? It is costly every time I fill or un fill. Please help any suggestion? I don't want to be loose I just wanted to be able solid food I can keep liquid not creamy liquid but no matter I eat slow and chew my food seems like stuck and doesn't go down.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
