Great News for people insured by Aetna

Recommended Posts

Hi Emily,

My Dr. quoted a price of $11,000. for self pay and this price includes your after care and fills. This is through Dr. Avilla in Blackfoot, Idaho. They also are just now doing this in Idaho Falls, Idaho, but I don't know of the price.

Good luck!

I have Aetna and found on their web site the clinical policy benefits under Obesity Surgery that was reviewed 3/31/2006. I suggest you check out their web site. Aetna.com

Thanks for the infor. I had already checked this out and know that they cover for surgery if you have a BMI of 40 or more. My BMI is 38.5 and I do have back problems and a history of type two diabetes with my mother and her mother. The dr. also said I most likely have sleep apena. I have migrains and my neurologist sent documentation of prescribing a sleep enhancing drug as she said if I am tossing and turning I am not getting into a deep enough sleep which could result in my migrains. All of these files have been sent to Aetna along with the phen phen plan that I was on 8 years ago before they took it off the market.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
