Pre-band Eating Like Crazy!!!
I know it's a little on the pricey side, but I figure if I have to get my protein in liquid form, I want it to taste good so that I do drink it. After reading everybodies opinon of Protein shakes and how chalky and yukky they are, I have been afraid to get any. But I found this web site and getting the free samples, I figured if this company thought so highly of their product that they are willing to give a sample away, than they might just be as good as they say. If I'm not mistaken unjury and Vitalady wanted to charge for their samples. So I tried this one and really liked it and went no further. I have only been using a scoop ful and water. Haven't tried it with the milk yet. By the way, I'm not banded yet, but should be soon. The insurance did approve it, but I need to wait for some other information from the hospital. So I am looking for sometime in Oct. if not the end of Sept. Thanks for the response, sorry I rambled on so. :clap2:

:flypig: Jodie, check with your dr, he may have samples of anti depressants. I too am on medication for depression and sometimes I have to get some from my dr. due to the cost. The dr should have something you can take and it should be free. I understand what you mean with the knees. I haven't been banded yet, but hopefully soon, but I too have to take it real easy with walking other wise I end up not walking at all. Takes a week to recoup. Jodie, by the grace of God, you can do this. You can overcome your family and friend's negativity. You do this girl :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: you go Roberta

Protein supplement!!!
I HAVE FOUND A PROTEIN DRINK THAT IS REALLY GOOD. IT'S GOOD ENOUGH TO WANT TO DRINK MORE AND MORE. I FOUND IT WHEN I WAS DOING A SEARCH FOR PROTEIN DRINKS ON THE WEB AND GOT 2 SAMPLE PACKETS FOR NOTHING. IT HAS VERY LITTLE AFTER TASTE IF ANY. HERE'S THE WEB SITE SO YOU CAN CHECK IT OUT. WWW.healthandfitnesshannel.com. I LOVE CHOCOLATE AND IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE ME WANT MORE OF IT. IT HAS 22 GRAMS OF PROTEIN IN A SCOOP WITH 4 OZ OF WATER.

Pre-band Eating Like Crazy!!!
I wanted to share this with anyone who is in need of a really good tasting protein shake. I just received my samples and tried the chocolate one and let me tell you it's great. I thougth since you have to go on a liquid diet before surgery, you may want to try this. It's so tasty that I want to make another one and drink it again. I am going to try to drink this for breakfast and lunch. Maybe I too can stop being an eating machine. So far it's quenched my sweet tooth and I don't want to eat anything. I plan on ordering this. http://www.healthfitnesschannel.com/index11.html

Does Lap-Band help with emotional eating?
I have read this thread and it has really opened by eyes to what is happening to me now. I have not had the surgery, but I am going through the procedures and requirements for my insurance. I have noticed that I am eating everything in sight and it doesn't make any difference whether I am hungry or not. I can be stuffed to the brim, but I will still eat. I know this is emotional and it has to do with my attitude with getting the surgery. Somewhere in the very recesses of my mind, I believe I need to eat all I can because I think I won't be able to do so afte I get the band. Mind you, I do not want to ever eat like I do now, so there's where the band will come in. At least I hope so. So after saying all this, I was wondering, did anyone else have this problem before surgery? I am trying to figure out how to get the word "NO" in my vocabulary. Roberta
