sounds like you are too tight. Like Mis73 said, did your dr. have you drink Water before you left the office?

If liquids are coming back up you are too tight. I suggest you call your doctor. You don't want to get dehydrated. Good luck.

Maybe you are taking too large of a drink and drinking too fast. Try smaller sips and waiting a while between swallows.

If you're not able to keep Water down at all, don't wait, dehydration can come on pretty fast.

I agree take VERY small sips; no BIG gulps; if liquids will NOT stay down . . . TOO tight ~ call da' doctor ASAP

I hope they get you in first thing in the morning because my band was too tight and I just tried to "tough" it out because I didn't want to have any taken out because I didn't want to feel hungry and I hoped I would loose weight quicker BIG mistake on my part and a HARD lesson learned...... My band slipped and they had to end up draining my band :( thankfully it went back but I had to wait a month before they would put anything back in so I am starting over from the beginning pretty much...... You don't want that to happen... I have to be extra careful from now on cause they say once it slips it has the tendanacy to slip again :(

I 'm curious I know what happens when you get a slip but my Dr assured me that he really sticiches the band in so it can't slip easily and he had only 2 slips out of 800 or more. How are these bands slipping can anyoe tell me. Are other Drs not stitching the bands in??

As far as I know and someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the only thing that is stitched is the port. Throwing up from over eating, eating too fast or bring too tight can cause the band to slip. They drained mine, spent a week on liquids and thankfully it went back. It's pretty painfull and scary when you have a slippage and I urge everyone to be really careful because its not something you want to experience. I was so bad that I was afraid I was going to asphyxiate in my sleep.

Mine was stitched in top and bottom. I only threw up twice and it has slipped. My doctor was at a loss... I'm only the 41st slip he's had out of over 3000 band surgeries. I really got the feeling that he didn't really believe I'd only vomited twice, but I swear that's all...

I'm pretty devastated. He didn't even discuss emptying the band and seeing what happened (basically we've already done that -- I was completely unfilled last month and it was only today that the slip was diagnosed). I'm headed back to the OR as soon as insurance gives the okay.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
