Doctors On Li That Take Patients Without Insurance

I didn't realize how redicilous it can really be to find a doctor who will take on a new patient for post off who was banded in another state, and without insurance :(

My band slipped and worst feeling in life!!! I called around no one wanted really anything to do with me.. Finally spoke with a dr on Long Island where I was told I would have to go to the ER to get into their office..anyone know if this is common around here? Just seems complete nuts!

    If you don't have insurance, it might be that going through the ER is a way they can guarantee to try to get reimbursement.
