Good Morning and HAPPY EASTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ira, thats great your wife has decided to get banded....I know its something you wanted for her as well (for health reasons). Congratulations!!! Look at you, 6 lbs from goal.... TERIFFIC!!!!

I finally spoke with Pat yesterday. I was in the grocery store picking out a cake with my DD for today's Easter dinner when she called LOL, I couldn't concentrate looking at all those cakes and my dd drooling on the glass window so I called her once I got home. We had a lovely chat and yes ladies, she has a soft southern accent. very sweet.

Shackdog, happy April to you too :)

Sherry I hope your okay today :puke: sorry about the spat w/your sister. I know the feeling of dealing with siblings that are asswipes. I have 6 asswipes to deal with........who needs em LOLOL.

I got up at 4:50 AM and couldn't go back to sleep..... so I'm gonna get me some coffee and get back to reading...

BBL and again, HAPPY EASTER !!!!!!!

Congratulations Ira, I know you and your wife must be thrilled. She has such an advantage, a spouse that can help her reach her goal, what a role model you'll be.

Eileen, what are you doing up so early? You must have been jonesing to get on here too, LMAO. I so enjoyed chatting with you yesterday.

Donna, pick a date, somebody's gotta do it. Maybe pick a couple of dates and the majority wins. It's really busy around the 4th of July, then it get very hot and humid, but then again, that's what beaching is about.

What a nice Easter gift, back on line with my friends again...:clap2: :clap2: .

Hi ya Pat..... No matter what time I go to bed, I wake up at 5 or 6 am. I'm so used to it that I don't even need an alarm clock. POOF! I'm up. And with my nasty allergies I'm coughing so hard (didn't want to wake DD).

I sware folks, I'm coughing so hard (yes I'm taking meds) that it feels like my band is gonna come out of my nose. Interesting way to get nose jewerely.

Oh well I gotta get my ass back up to do some more cleaning and I start cooking in about 1 hour.

TTYL !!!

I can not do the 4th of July, DH's birthday is on the 3rd (he turns 50....and yes I'm having a party for him on May 20th....anyone wanna come?) we're also having a party for him then. But don't let me stop you because its hard for me to get away period....

Happy Easter Y'all!

Well, the party is over and it was a big hit! We had about 25 people here and it was a fun time. I was tired, but I still enjoyed it. I woke up on Friday at 2:00 am, just stayed in bed till 4 and decided that was stupid, so I got up and started making my potato salad. I never did go back to bed, so I was really ready for bed last night! I made some pork and chicken in the smoker, then I made potato salad, crab salad, macaroni salad, and baked Beans. I also made some quaseo (?) dip and served that with chips as snack till everyone got here. I made up a big batch of Pat's drinks and they all loved them too!

Eileen - I do the same thing, get up every morning between 4:30 and 5:00, never set an alarm clock. I guess I just did it for so many years that I can't break the habit. If I stay in there any longer than that my back hurts real bad when I get up! I sure hope that cough gets better for you!

Ira - That is so cool that your DW is going to do the lapband too! I would think it would be so much easier to do when both people are on it. When is she going to have it done, does she have a date yet?

Pat - You are so sweet to do all that for your son. We all think once we raised them that is the end, and it just never is. I guess it keeps us busy, just helping them out. Is she letting him have the kids at all for visitation?

I have just been busy with this party and all. I can't get on here at work, as my boss sits right behind me and can see what I do. My screen is visable to both the big boss and my office manager at all times. That is the one thing I don't like about it.

Darcy - Hey girl, are you going to the cabin this weekend? Have you started any of your quilts yet? How is that fill working for you?

Kelly - Glad you can fit in the jeans, hope you feel much better too!

Shackdog - Hello! Glad to see you here!

Donna - Love your avatar! Hey, a stuffed dog is better than no dog! You are probably right, I don't think I can sit still for too long. I am learning though!:) :puke: :puke:

Patty - It's a good thing I don't live near Disney, with all the things you talk about I would be a very poor person!:biggrin1:

Mary - That is sweet of your DSIL! Hopefully she will remain your friend.

Sherry - Hopefully things will work out with your family. Try not to worry about it too much, sometimes the less said the better off it is. My heart goes out to you.

Cindy - Making Cookies again! I think I am done making cookies for a long time! I sure got carried away at Christmas time, I guess it was because I wasn't working and got bored.

Anne - Hey girl, what ya doin today? How is that band working for you?

Can you tell the difference in the two bands?

I hope I didn't miss anyone, if I did I'm sorry. Just wanted to wish you all a nice Easter.

Warning!

The following is a dirty joke, so if you don't like them don't read any further!

Hey, do you all know why the Easter Bunny hides his easter eggs?

He doesn't want anyone to know he's been F........ing chickens!

Gotta go!

Happy Easter!

Relieved that LBT is back up.... or was it just my computer?

I just baked an upside-down pumpkin pecan pie.... needs to chill. :hungry:

My co-worker Terry invited all of us to her home after church. I'm honored that folks want to have our company. For years NO ONE invited us for potlucks and such and its because my EX wasn't much fun to be around, and that hurts.... anyway I baked a huge pan of cornbread and am SO ready to have conversation with adults. The kids will get to hunt for eggs and we will teach everyone the art of egg fighting(garrett is a master). Hope this message find everyone in good health and happiness.

A blessed Easter to all!

I couldn't get LBT up yesterday, either...

We just got home from the Easter festivities...up at 4:50 like Eileen, sunrise service at church (we got through that okay), then over to Dad's for brunch, Easter egg hunt, gifts and all that. Then my niece and nephew-n-law brought the beautiful new baby girl over. Can we all say, aaaaaaaaaaah. Beautiful. DD held her for at least an hour, then got a lesson in breastfeeding, LOL! I figure, might as well know the whole story, not just the cute part. Also, a lesson in diaper changing. LMAO!

Many hugs to all of you who are missing family members this Easter.

So, now I'm gonna veg out for the rest of the afternoon.

Eileen, don't you love Pat's wonderful voice? Hope your Easter went well!

Ira, congrats to your DW! Of course, she can come her for cheers and hugs!

Donna, I'm still laughing about your poor puppies worms! Just laughing WITH you, Eileen, sweetie!

Patty, have a blast with the adults at the Easter gathering. So glad to see you finding your way in your new life. It's kinda exciting in a way, isn't it?

Pat, I had many compliments on my beautiful dress, thank you very much! Apparently, I'm not as, well, blessed, as you...so the neckline was very appropriate for church on me! LOL!

Betty, wow! I bet your parties are the best for food! Everything sounded great! Rest up today! Is that even possible?

Okay, two NSV's to report...first, I successfully gave up ice cream for Lent! That is officially over today, but I think I'm gonna keep going for a while. It's such a food addiction for me. Secondly, I had to buy new bras..smaller in the band size. So, I started in 46C, and bought 40C. I really AM shrinking!

I saw my banded niece today, who is about 11 months out, and 70 lbs lighter...she looks great! So, onward we go!

Hugs to all...where'd I put those marshmallow chicks?

Cindy

Ok. If I am going to arrange any kind of get together....

1. What State and City are you from?

2. Pat, where are we traveling to?

3. Besides me, who exactly is interested in a Jersey Girl get together?

4. If you are interested, is there a date that absolutely will not work for you?

I am such a "planner" so this will be a ton of fun for me....

I have to go take the "dog" out.... LOL I am still cracking up!

kisses,

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
