My surgery is December 17th!! I've been on the liquid diet 4 days now, it's hard, but I actually feel great and it's boosted my inner strength somehow. I also started seeing a therapist this week to give me support through all of this. There is nothing wrong with taking charge of your health and happiness. Be proud, and I'll be sending good vibes your way! :)

amen girlfriend!!!

I have a panic attack disorder and have to see a therapist weekly. Mine is looking forward to helping me with the anxiety.

Well I'm sitting here with an IV in my arm. T-minus 40 minutes until surgery. Excited and nervous

Banded yesterday, 12/6. No pain yesterday or this morning but sutures are sore this evening and lower belly is distended. Ow! Back hurts too. Hoping tomorrow will be better.

Good luck tomorrow Marybell!

Im up and moving for a few, ive been relaxing in the recliner since about 6. so 4hours maybe- when i woke up i was throwing up so they gave me medicine which knocked me out and when i came to i was throwing up more. so i had to stay longer then expected. surgery was done at 11. but wasnt discharged until 430. the nurses stuck me 7x to get a iv line. finally the charge nurse had to do it. when i woke up i was so sore and uncomfortable. but around 2 that wore off and i wanted to pee and walk. so i did. its nice to be home in my own chair though. my arms feel heavy and my left side of my stomach is sore. doctor said my liver looked great. i did have an umbilical hernia but that is all no heital hernias. thanks for all ur support dear

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
