When you are awake, shuffle around as much as you can, tomorrow, walk down the driveway......keep moving, trust us, it will help......pace the living room. In the next few days you are going to need a stool softener too, just saying.......you don't want that to become a problem

The heating pad was my friend, and good Lord, I was burping like a sailor! My husband would tease me at how "healthy" I was burping.. LOL .... Both helped me feel better.

Hang in there!

Honey honestly the first night I wasn't even able to sleep cause I was on pain especially my back so most of the night I just walked around my house almost all night. A couple of hours I even came here cause I just could not sleep. but trust me you have nothing to worry about and tomorrow you will feel a little better. Congrats!!! FWI I did not have a heating pad so I just put a blanket on the dryer and it worked very well for me =)

Walk a lot and make sure you are taking your deep breaths. Gas X or the infant gas relief drops will help too. I also used a heating pad and propped a pillow under my back. You should start feeling better in a day or so. Good luck!

You want to walk to not only help dispel the gas, but also to help avoid blood clots. I would also recommend when you're walking around to use a small pillow held against your stomach- this really helped me to stabilize my stomach and stop it from moving when I walked.

I put a heating pad all over myself!! My belly, my back, my neck... i needed 3 of them just for the first week after surgery! I also iced underneath my incision site because it was super - bruised down by the port incision. (iced or heating pad through lightweight clothes)

Best wishes! Hang in there.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
