What Your Non-Health Reason?

Recommended Posts

I want to see a photo of myself and see the same person I feel like I am inside. I want to be able to see a chair with arms and not have a moment of anxiety if I am going to fit, and then be comfortable sitting in it. I want to stop feeling like the "third sex". I want to wear a bra that doesn't resemble scaffolding!

I want to be free to do whatever I want......ride any ride at an amusement park, sit in the middle seat on an airplane, ride in the backseat with 2 friends,-------to never have my size cause me to pause about living my life.

I want to dress in clothes that reflect my fashion sense and not be required to pick the least offensive items at LB.

I want to get back into singing/acting.....as the weight crept on my self-esteem plummeted and I backed away from performing. I've never been an average size and am excited about the types of roles that would be available to me if I was.

I wanted to be able to walk into any store and pick out clothes and wear them. I also wanted to be able to go on roller coasters and not have to stand on line for an hour worrying about weather or not I was gonna fit

I want to look in a mirror or window at my reflection as I walk by while shopping. I don't want to be the fat mom at my daughters school any more. I want to have great sex! ;). I want to wear a pair of Louis Vuitton or Jimmy Choo shoes with an awesome pair jeans. Really, the list is so long. I could keep going and going...

So I could walk up a flight of stairs without feeling like I was going to die!

So I could comfortably bend over and tie my own shoes.

So I could safley have a healthy pregnancy and have the energy to keep up with my babies once they are here.

So I could buy clothes off the rack without buying the biggest size and hope it would fit if I stretched it enough.

So I could shop with my friends in a normal store.

So I could ride a rollercoaster without worrying if id fit in the seat.

So I could pick out an outfit ,put it on and feel confident and leave the house instead of trying on everything I owned and ending up sitting around crying because I hated the way i looked.

I want to be IN pictures with my kids so they have memories of me when they are young.

I want to shop at target and other inexpensive stores in their regular section.

I don't want to feel like my students are looking at my fatness.

I want my children to learn consistent healthy eating and not witness a lifetime of roller coaster dieting.

I think I'm with Elliott about seeing a photo of myself and see the same person I feel like on the inside and of course to shop I already like to shop but a little harder and lot more expensive for plus size

Want my husband to think, "wow, that's my wife!"

I want to have a healthy weight for when I decide to get pregnant. (hopefully next year)

I want to be able to play and run with my 7yr old nephew and my own kids. (when I have them)

I want to ride rides in the amusement park.

I want to look good in anything.

and the list keeps going....

I wanted to jump in and let you know all these are possible... I was doing this list 19 months ago and I am living the possibilities now. I am shopping at regular stores and loving it. I sit in plane seats and don't feel like im gonna take out the person next to me with a part of my body. I can breath when I walk and climb stairs. I can tie my shoes in the middle now. I can wear jeans and feel comfortable in them all day instead of wanting to take them off after 15 minutes.

the list goes on...

the only thing I can't do is do the bikini, but I don't look to shabby in a one piece :-)

keep up the great work everyone, you WILL get there!!!!

I want to look good and feel good in clothes....

Not only that, I want to go through the Police Academy.

About 3 years ago I was going to go through it but ended up getting hired as a dispatcher for the PD. I needed the money at the time so I decided to accept the job.

Next, I want to run a Marathon....one that is for a cause Like Breast Cancer Awareness.

...and I want to do Jiu Jitsu.

I guess I could have just said "I want to be a bad ass" and it would have covered all that lol

I want to run, run, run, as a runner does. Like a gazelle. Effortlessly. Not gasping for air with a 100 lb sack of fat on my body!

Thank You! :) Good Luck to you as well. I wanted to do it growing up but was involved in way too many other sports to join.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
