Hi I'm looking to change my doctor, he does not recommend Lap-Band and my Insurance (MediCal) says they will cover whatever is recommended by my primary doctor. So you can imagine I'm kinda pissed my doc doesn't want to help me out.

Was wondering if anyone from Southern California area who's doctor has recommended them for surgery, doctors name and how it went?

I went thru the same thing. I got lucky tho my cardiologist (his buddy) called him and the next thing I know I had my letter. Make sure you have your medical files transferred so the new doc has your history. Good luck

No. Sorry but if you have any other docs talk with them tell them what u want to do and why get the support and have them recommend a doc to you. It makes things go so much smoother when that relationship is there with them and you and between the doctors. My cardiologist was extremely supportive and he made this happen for me
