September 26, 201213 yr Banded this morning and in quite a bit of incision pain. A hernia was found so they said that's why. No gas pain though... yet!! Good luck.
September 27, 201213 yr Author Wonderful news!! Congrats!! Will u be spending the night?? Yes I am spending the night 1) because I have a bleeding disorder so as a precaution 2) I live 6 1/2 Hours away from my surgeon. I honestly don't know how people handle going home just hours after surgery, I am having pain just on my port incision and gas pain in my chest and shoulders.

September 27, 201213 yr Author Thank you all for your support, it means so much! I'm not sure I could have gotten through this without LBT members! Everyone has been amazing. Even if it isn't a thread I reply to, I have read so much that has gotten me through this process!!!

I tried the gas x strips on my own that I had brought to the hospital, I didn't think they helped. What helped me was my husband would massage the areas where I felt the gas pockets and then I would go walk down the halls of the hospital. I think everybody's experience is different and you just have to figure out what works best for you!
