I really didn't feel any difference until about 2 weeks after my 2nd fill. Up until then I was basically dieting. I've seen people refer to this period as bandster hell. Just continue to follow the rules your surgeon gave you and I promise it will get better. My friend has had 3 fills and still isn't losing. We have a doctor that is very conservative with his fills. He won't give more then .5 cc at each fill and we can only get them every 6 weeks. My fitness pal has helped me tremendously...i track my calories, Protein, etc and then print it out and take it in for my appointments so the doctor can discuss it with me and give me suggestions. Good luck...it will get better soon!

Keep you chin up. with exercising you could actually be losing inches. but since muscle weighs more than fat you may not see the change on the scale. so get out the tape measure and measure your waist, neck, etc and watch those numbers change.

I don't always get 8 glasses of Water, but when I started using sugar free kool aid type mixes it did make it easier to get at least 6 a day, some days even more. The Martguerita flavor in Walmart brand (great value) is my favorite, it's not as sweet as strawberry, grape, etc.

INCHES!!! Ladies keep an eye on how things are fitting. This was the first sign that I was doing anything right. It has taken me over 3 years to get restriction I was not dieting, just eating less and getting some small results. When the weight started to come off it was very steady for about 6 months and then I was just cruising. I got a fill on the 30th that gave me restriction and I am now working on getting things moving again. Just keep doing the right things.

I had surgery on July 25 and had my first fill on August 20th. It's been rough. Those first few weeks I was sore and tired, but hungry. I was 3/4 of a pound over what I was when I had surgery. My doctor gave me a hard time about it. This morning I weighed myself and I'm down 2 pounds below my lowest weight so I was happy.

Not feeling restriction yet, but I'm more active. I'm riding bike again (haven't done that in probably 10 years!) and walking more. My clothes are getting looser so I know things are happening.

Hang in there and good luck!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
