I have this sexy little black dress in my closet that I only wore once. A LONG TIME AGO! I refused to get rid of it, and that was always the dress I said I will wear again! Once I fit into that dress and look good in it... I will be one happy as hell chick! When I bought it I was still self conscious in it, looked pretty good but not good enough to feel confident, so I want to look even better in it then I did the last time I wore it. :)

I have lost a lot of weight a long time ago long before I got my band. I slowly eventually out on all that weight and more! I'm just looking forward to being able to fit back into my old clothes and old favourites which I have stored away. I kept all the good clothes. It's nice to know I won't need to go shopping as I loose weight I can just search thru my old clothes. And the best part is no one knows they r old!!! :D

But I do have I've ultimate goal, at my lightest I bought a formal dress. Iv only worn it twice. One day, ill get back into that dress! I'm so excited :)

I used to keep clothes I knew I was to big for I would take them out and look at them and tell myself "someday I will wear you again" .

I wear tank tops now! I was always too embarrassed to do that when I was heavier. Yeah, I may have little bat wings but I don't care. In the summer I plan to wear shorts, strapless sundresses, and a swimsuit. No more hiding or sweating like a pig.

Well I was banded 2 years ago and have gone from a size 22 to an 8. I still haven't started wearing what i want because I'm self conscious. Maybe this summer I will rock some shorts. :)

This is a great post... but I want to tell everyone just starting: don't wait to dress nice! It's possible even at a plus size! I know it's hard to find stuff, but it's gotten much better over the years...even Tommy Hilfinger has a plus sized line! Feel good about yourself now and the journey will be even better! It's hard to break the habits of hiding behind black, baggy and stretchy... plus they don't work anyhow! Just because you're big doesn't mean you can be bright and fun!!!

On that note, as I've gone from a 24 Tao 12-14 I just recycle sizes, taking the too big stuff to the thrift store and leaving with a new batch of smaller things! But one of the best things is shoes .... getting in shape has made.it easier to wear higher heels, and I'm more coordinated in them! A whole new world opens up when you can wear 3" heels!!!

:)

I agree, I'm fat and so fly that I shouldn't even walk! Lol IDK why people are saying they'll wear leather jackets and high heels and sleeveless tops when they lose weight, I do that now and I freaking rock. Skinny people have clothing dilemmas too ya know but I know one things for sure...WHEN I DROP ABOUT 50 POUNDS I'll BE WEARING ONLY LIPGLOSS A LOT MORE OFTEN, yep :-*

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
