Anyone Getting Banded In September?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I'm having my surgery on 9/11 and am on day 3 of my pre op diet. I'll be honest here it totally sucks. I'm should have 4 Protein Shakes a day, crystal light, broth, sf Jello etc..I had such a hard day today. I ended up having a lean Protein to combat the headaches. 7 more days of this... I hope I can hang in there.

Latest are added!! Up to 44 and 3 still in a holding pattern.

Please bear with m' date=' but I "had to" alphabetize each date. It was driving me crazy all willy nilly. If I bumped you off or anything, please just say so!!

Day 1 of this pre-op diet, wishing I could sleep the next 6 days away! Anyone else having a tough time? I didn't think it was going to be this hard, but I can't watch tv because the commercials are showing food all the time. Ahhhh....

I also have been avoiding watching TV to get through these 2 weeks of my pre-op. I am on Day 8. It's definitely challenging and tough, but the promise of what lies ahead is motivating me. Also, loosing some weight this week didn't' hurt either! Hang in there and try to distract yourself.

The first three days were really tough for me - but it does get better! And it helps to drink a lot of water!

I'm not hungry just miss tasting good food. I have indulged enough in life and if this is what I have to do I deserve it. With every commercial I see good food I get stronger. That's how I think of it anyway.

I'm getting my band on Thursday! Getting pretty excited and a little nervous now. This two week pre-op diet has been difficult to say the least. I am comparing this diet to quitting smoking. One of the hardest things I have ever done but I did it. I know I will be successful with this too, but it won't be easy. Today has probably been my worst day yet with this diet. Thankfully I have some hobbies that help keep me busy and mind off of the things I wish I was eating. I had a dream about onion rings and I swear I could smell them when I woke up. LOL Good luck and best wishes to everyone getting banded this month!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
