Well yesterday I was 289 YES!!!

I have a loooong way to go but I'm moving along.Reading the stories and advice on here has been crucial to me moving forward. I hope my milestone check in also helps some one :-)

my next milestone is a bit far off.It is to get to my nursing school weight of 260.but I think I will try to check in every 10 lbs or so.

* I weighed 291 June 2008 just befor getting pregnant with my son.6 weeks after giving Burt I was back at 291.So I gained 48 lbs in 3 yrs.:-( BUT it's coming off now WOO HOO !! *

Congrats!!! I remember losing my first 30 lbs and my walking was faster and sexier.

I have 47 more lbs to my goal. If I'm happy with just 37 lbs, I'll leave it @ that. My Dr. wants me to get down to 170, and its been over 25 yrs since I've been that weight. I started @ 285 and never thought I would be to where I am today. Just take it one day/pound @ a time. You'll get there. I am :D

Way to go!! Keep up the good work!! I'm day 3 of my pre-op diet, surgery on August 23rd. First two days no worries, not too hungry today OMG! I did exercise this morning so my body just may need a little more energy. I'll have to do a 2 pm shake today. I can't wait until next Thursday!

I know exactly how you feel. It gets better.if u exercised u may want to get in a few more calories.adding the shake is right .I couldn't cope .after 3 days if pre op I called the Doc and asked if I can do something else.they said I can have 2-3 oz of Protein once a day if was really hungry.I had one small piece of fish or chicken at dinner every day for the duration of the pre op phase.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
