I was banded on August 9 and I am just starting to get hungry for real food. I have no problem getting all of my Water and all of my Protein in. I have a feeling I'll be starting on mushies next week after I see the doctor for my post-op on friday. I've been living off of the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup though, it feels really good going down too. I also have a juicer, so i'll make fresh juice and add in unflavored Isopure.

I am in pain though as far as side pains and gas pains and fatigue, but I don't feel any pain internally really.

I was banded on 8/10. I am only allowed Protein Shakes, broth and sugar free beverages. Water make me burp, so for now I am doing sugar free powerades. I get those own pretty well, but am lucky to get in 2 1/2 shakes. Well 1 1/2 shake and 1 chicken Soup Unjury. What I tried today is o keep a shake beside me all day and alternate sips of it with Powerade. It got me to 2 1/2, yesterday was only about 1 1/2. I feel better today, not so sore, etc. But I am dreaming about food, a lot. More than ever before. I o back to work on Wed. Which I think will help, because I will be busier. Aim trying to work my way back to at least 4 shakes a day. I have not been hungry, at all yet.

Dang ash, was there complications during your surgery or special circumstances? That sound pretty conservative approach.

I had the ideal surgery. Not a single complication. In fact the very next day i was out shopping for furniture. The doctor is just really strict about the post op diet. I have considered taking a spoonful of cottage cheese to get my Protein in because having three Protein shakes a day is becoming unbearable.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
