I have a painful infected hematoma incision. I can't stand walk or sit. All I can do is lay down. I've been on antiobiotics since monday and Vicodin and nothing seems to help. I had surgery July 12. It's my port incision but I don't have a lapband (long story)...what should i do? I called my doc yeaterday and spoke to his associate all he said was to increase Vicodin. My doc isn't in his office til tomorrow. Should I call now or wait til tomorrow and see him then? It's so painful, if I stand for to long it starts killing me and I feel like I'm being ripped apart and stabbed. It's so painful I cry. More than post op recovery.

If you're in that much pain, I would go to the ER. It's always better safe than sorry and your health is nothing to mess with.

I'll keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery and pain relief. I'm so sorry you have to deal with this.

Thank you, Mis73! I just don't know what else this can be? I'm on antibiotics and painkillers. This is ridiculous. I'm fine when I'm laying down, but any other position kills me with the incisions... :(

I don't know what else it could be either, sadly. Is it warm to the touch? Oozing? Foul smelling?

It's not oozing, but you can see pus in there. It's warm to the touch. It is infected and I'm on antibiotics but ive been on them since Monday. I was hoping they would be working by now. I was supposed to have surgery Monday but that got postponed due to the infection and it was oozing quite a bit of pus then. Right now it's an open sore. The incision is dark. I'd post a picture but it's quite disturbing. It's not red though. Theres also still glue over it from surgery which is kind of trapping the infection.

Oh my, I hope there's nothing wrong internally! But this pain is unbearable! Each day has been getting worse pain wise. Thank you, Mis73! You truly are a sweetheart! I'll call my doctor and see what he says. If he can't help me, I'll make my way to the ER.

You should be seeing some improvement by now. You may need a different or stronger antibiotic. Go get that looked at ASAP.

Thank you, Heather. That's what I was thinking too.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
