I am on day two of a restart. It is consuming me at this time....I think it is harder to start over then at the beginning. I So wish I had never challenged what they told me.

I don't think they emphasize enough the reasons they put the rules into effect. You have the don't eat list, because you can't. The list is not entirely because you physically can't, but because you can't eat that type of food and lose!

I am very happy I came back to the forum for support, this is just what I need. Wish there was more support meetings in Maine to attend.

Hi! I too am struggling with my weight loss. I was 255 3yrs ago. Lost 60 lbs felt & look great. Had a baby & since have not lost a single lb. I am currently 235. I feel horrible. I exercise sporadically and I know my diet is not the best. Just need a kick to get motivated again. I have good restriction but just can't get the scale to move. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Okay so I'm not alone. I was banded 4 yrs ago and lost 50lbs. I weigh 185 and have managed to stay around that, all tho I would love to lose more, but have not gone in for another fill in about 3 1/2 yrs due to the restriction that I have already. Considered going in for a fill and know that I would be mostly on mushy foods and liquids, but considered doing it for a few months to drop more weight and get where I'd like to be. My problem is that I have to travel from Sac to SF to get my fill. kaiser has no fill drs in Sac. Ugh! I should just do it!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
