Just found out that I can't get another full until August 1. Three weeks away. I'm definitely out of my green zone and I know I need to continue exercise and good eating habits. In not losing and at plateau. I'm down to 187. Why am I having so much anxiety???? I guess the fear of weight creeping up. Any thoughts beside putting my not so big girl pants on and deal with it?

Anxiety about sliding backwards and regaining any of the weight lost is common. Try to rationalize your thoughts in a positive way. Some days, the scale will be up several tenths of a pound for several reasons...and plateaus happen.

The rational side of you knows that continuing your diet compliance will mean continuing progress in the right direction, even if it is delayed. So, stay the course and remain focused.

I know that not being in the green zone will present challenges...and I have yet to get there. Becoming pro active and gaining the sense that you are still in control will help with neutralizing the anxiety. Because anxiety is created in your mind, you are also able to control it.

I manage my hunger by drinking my required free fluids...and distracting myself with projects or exercise. It's still a monumental challenge every day...

Best wishes...you are doing a great job!!

I just had a 0.5cc unfill. So I hear your anxiety. All we can do is count on our good habits that we have developed to keep us moving forward. Don't concentrate on the scale. Our focus should be on our health. How is your blood pressure? Your sugar? Your cholesterol? There are other methods of measuring success.

Being banded is a lifetime journey to make our health better. It is NOT just about the scale. Yes, we want the weight gone, and we want it gone yesterday, but that isn't always going to happen. This is a marathon, not a sprint. It is time to change your battle plan for the time being. Adjust your outlook.

As obese people, we ALWAYS fear regain. Hasn't it happened every other time we've gone on a diet? We don't exactly have track records of success to help calm us down. But we didn't have our bands to help us in the long run. Over the course of your lifetime, Augsut 3, or 3 weeks, is miniscule. You will get through it.

After my unfill, I was able to schedule a refill for July 16, now I have to travel for work that week, so I have to reschedule..ugh... I REALLY am right there with you!

You need to chill! Remember, this is a long journey and there will be all kinds of temptations, setbacks and challenges to come for the rest of your life. This is a 3 week blip in the time/space continuum. Just look at this as if it were a maintenance point in your journey. If you don't gain or lose it's a win/win. If you happen to gain a lb or 2, it was learning experience and you won't make the same mistakes twice. Now is a time to educate yourself.

Just remember to eat healthy but keep your appetitie satisfied. You'll have less stress if someone shoves a burrito in your face :o

You are all so right! I need to take this all in stride...usually I can handle set backs. I leave for Las Vegas three days after this fill, which is my anxiety of being too restricted ( don't mind softer foods but I don't want to be sick like I see in these forums). Ok I said it. On the other hand my goal is the green zone. I'll continue my workouts and healthy eating and stay away from scale...limit calories and maintain portion size. Again thank you all for the encouragement.

I am in the same boat. I just had a fill 6/20, which brings me up to 5cc, and I got nothing! I have been bouncing between the same 2lbs for about 2 weeks. However, I keep telling myself, "At least I am not gaining!" My insurance changed and my fills which cost $10, are now full price, so my appointment on July 19, will be a hard pill to swallow, but hopefully I can get some restriction and not always be hungry! A few times I just ate whatever I could get my hands on, and I got stuck twice, and the pain was unbelievable! However, it snapped me back into reality, and I try really hard to hit the gym 5 days a week, and stick to the diet. I feel as long as I am not gaining, then I will get through it. I hope this helps!

If you got stuck, how is it you "got nothing"? If you are getting stuck you are very close if not in the green zone. Be sure to tell your doc you have had some stuck episodes so that you don't get overfilled?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
