hair - I started loosing hair but Protein shakes like Muscle Milk helped me stop it. I also would be covered in bruises all over my body - it looked scary - dr immediately diagnosed me with Vitamin K deficiency. Its all imbalances and changes. Adapt to it.

Try pre-natals...

You really can't make yourself not loose weight if you are adjusted properly. First I lost a whole lot, then I stopped loosing for a whole lot of time, then I started loosing slowly when they finally found a green zone for me.

Don't worry that you cannot follow the diet - just dont get discouraged. Look through this forum - there are hundreds of people with the same problems here. That is why I love it - I did not feel like a failure when I was regaining my weight.

It took time and psychiatric help ( do not forget - there is always a connection between your mental state and your weight. )

You cannot change your eating habits if you keep repeating the same things over and over again.

When I was a waitress the best advice I was given by my manager was that it does not matter how badly you messed up your last table - your next one will not know about it - so you have a chance to do it all over again. And I think thats how life is with lap band, you take one day at a time, one meal at a time, one hungry moment at a time.

My Lap Band just recently slipped but I still think thats one of the best things that ever happened to me.

Cheer up!

Try eating your protein not drinking it, u may stand a chance to feel fuller then .. u also dont mention how much fill u have in your band.

You tend to lose hair if u have lost a large amount of weight quite quickly, u arent gettting enough protein and other nutrients in, hormopnal changes or anxiety .. The lapband in its self wont cause Hair loss so maybe look at the nutritional value of the food u are eating .. good luck

I am by no means getting 50 to 60 grams of Protein a day and certainly do not want to start losing hair, scary thought. I will be 3 weeks post op Wed., I think I will opt for an egg in the morning. Pretty much every day I eat Tilapia, does anyone know how many protein grams are in fish? And any suggestions of what I can eat with it that is packed with protein? Need meal suggestions.

Some people lose hair after being put under for surgery. I don't think Protein will help that part but it might help it bounce back. About all you can do is get your protein in, take Biotin. Someone mentioned zinc one time, but I don't know anything about that.

I've lost half of my hair. Log 60-100 grams of Protein a day. Taking 10,000 mcg Biotin and liquid silica. Just had blood drawn few days ago to check for other deficiencies. Trying to not worry but I'd like to have hair when I hit 35.

I have read in "the literature" that "they" don't really know for sure why people have Hair loss with weight loss surgery (and even low carb diets). I was a hard core low carb, high Protein dieter for years and can remember losing hair like crazy during a big jump in my weight loss. I could never keep with those low carb diets for more than about 8 months. I just kept losing the same 40 pounds over and over, but that is another story. In short, I was really not surprised that my hair started falling out like crazy during the pre-op liquid diet. I lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks!! I was getting about 70 grams of protein per day during this phase, too.

My weight loss has slowed down now and the hair is growing back. I am spending a lot less money on drain cleaner.... That's a joke! I have only had one fill, but I bet that I lose more hair when I get to the green zone!! That just seems to be a part of weight loss for me; regardless of the diet I am following. I wish someone knew "why", but at least the stuff grows back! Just remember that it is not permanent!

OMG!! I have heard of these issues. I just got my hair back after losing it due to chemo. This is probably the only thing I fear about getting this done. Being bald again is not an option. I guess I will have to Protein overload and say lots of prayers.

I could see if I had lost a lot of weight but I'm 8 months out and I am 10 lbs down from the day if surgery. Guess we will see what the blood work shows.

Any Hair loss yes I'd a result from decreased Protein but hair if hair is falling out it reflects what your body was lacking 3 months prior so you won't get immediate results from increased protein be patient it will resolve with proper protein. It's frustrating hang I'm there I also lost a lot of hair thank god mine was super thick to start with.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
