Wynonna Judd on Larry King Live

Recommended Posts

Did anyone else catch Wynonna Judd on Larry King live yesterday? I watched a repeat this morning and it was a good show. She talked about her battle with the bulge and her food addiction. She also discussed in recent trip to rehab for food addiction. It was refreshing to see someone of her status discuss their weight issues. If you get a chance to watch it, do so...it was inspiring.

OMGosh I love Wynonna! Shucks, wonder when it will air again? I hate I missed it.

Wy was on CMT with Heart for a Crossroads episode, so I'm sure she knows about banding from Ann Wilson, right?

Send me a PM if anyone sees it airing again!

I love Wy too!! I will have to watch for a repeat. Did you see her on Oprah? She's been on a couple times talking about her weight.

Did Ann Wilson get the band? I thought she had gastric. That's good to know. She looks great.

Anne Wilson did get it, but then she had it removed.

Leener, where did you hear that? Did she have something else done instead or just have it removed? I'd love to hear more if you can point me to some source.

BTW, GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!! :bounce:

I'm curious about this, too. My dr. did her band, but come to think of it I haven't heard anything about her directly from the dr's office, just online and such. If she's had it removed I wouldn't be surprised if the office doesn't mention it!

ok ok i have a really stupid question as I lead a sheltered life with working so much....Who is Ann Wilson?

Ann Wilson is the lead singer of the rock band Heart, and was for a while a paid spokesperson for the lapband. She had it done and talked about it on various news outlets back in 2002, and lost about 60 lbs at last mention. The main website that had been touting her (and Carnie Wilson, for the RNY) was Spotlight Health, which disappeared with no explanation some time ago. (Anyone have any information on that?)

So it's been a while since there's been any news on Ann Wilson's banding journey, and I'm very interested to hear she had it removed. More info!!

Me too! I want more info! Ann's story is what led me to the lapband. Hmm.. I wonder if she ever got on support boards like this?

Yah, well supposedly that was the whole point of the Spotlight Health site; there were message boards there that Ann and Carnie were supposed to visit. They didn't, of course, but that's what the site originally promised. :)

Well, my doctor's office just moved back in December, and in their lobby they have a room that looks like a radio studio (behind glass, microphones, headsets). There's a sign on the wall that says "Weight Loss Radio" or something like that. I'm due to go back in next Tuesday; I'll ask and find out more about it.

Well, I was in my dr's office on Tuesday for my first fill, and of course I totally forgot to ask about Anne Wilson. There was something in the newsletter I received today about some sort of WLS awards ceremony w/ Carnie Wilson there, but no mention of Anne Wilson.

I did get a good look at the radio studio within the office. It was WLRN (Weight Loss Radio Network) and I asked when they would be broadcasting; they said 1-2 months, and it would be broadcast over the internet.

I'll try to remember to ask when I go in next time. I had to wait 45 min to see the dr to get my fill, so I was in a hurry to leave at the end.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
