If there is a fad diet out there, someone in my office is already doing it. Their new one is the "radio station DJ diet". THe link in the title takes you to the site.

Theoretically, I feel that a "shot" of pure Protein cannot hurt. I was wondering if anyone had heard of this diet, and or tried doing a small gulp of those pure Protein Drinks that come in the test-tube shaped containers just before bed?

It doesn't seem like this would do any hard with the band. But I wonder if there is any scietific evidence that a shot of protein before bed could jumo start your metabolism. Anyone have any thoughts?

there are plenty of metabolic type foods out there like broccoli or chilli, green tea, spinach .. just look them up, no need to try out fad diets if u are eating a healthy balanced diet and let the band support u :)

Oh no. I don't to do the fad but wondered if there is anything to support Protein before sleep helping burn fat. If so. I may add a gulp of Protein Drink moments before my head hits the pillow ... the protein drink the girls at work use they get from the nodiet website. I would just try those pureprotein drinks from Walmart that look like a big test tube.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
