I was told Peanut Butter would be too dry during the mushy stage but I tried it yesterday and seemed to have no problem with it. What were you told?

That it can goop up and may be hard to pass through the band.

I asked my dr. About it and was told just because you might can get it down doesn't mean you should. I was informed that for losing weight there are few worse foods because sure it has Protein but it also has carbs and fat and no one actually stops at a table spoon.

My doctor is ok with it - in small amounts, not as a regular thing. I had 1 Tb of Peanut Butter with half of a sliced banana on a piece of low carb bread as my Breakfast this morning. Satisfied my cravings and kept me full till lunch.< /p>

I love Peanut Butter but I hate the fat in it so I use PB2 it's crushed peanuts that have been pressed until all the oil is drained and your left with a powder all you do is add Water and u can make it as thin or thick as you want it only has 45 calories a serving!

People who eat Peanut Butter, as i do sometimes, you need to measure in teaspoons not tablespoons .. way to many calories in a tablespoon .. i found u can eat a taste of anything if u stick to a teaspoon full or measure a 1 inch cube of something :) i was always told if u are going to cheat/treat yourself just make make it a small portion .. no harm done then :)

Where do you purchase PB2? I've never seen it before.

I LOVE Peanut Butter. I used to eat it by the spoonful (now I cringe, knowing how I ended up at 243 lbs!) My nutritionist strongly discouraged it, not only because of the texture but besides having some Protein, there's nothing else good about it (well, besides the taste that is!!). I actually took a banana, pureed it with some vanilla greek yogurt and just a dab of peanut butter. It satisfied the sweets craving I was having, and one banana made three servings.

PB2 is the best!! I found it at local nutrition store. I think you might be able to get it at Hyvee. They also make a chocolate version. For 2 Tbsp it's 45 calories, 1.5g fat, 5g Protein. I discovered this while doing a local weightloss challenge.

PB2 is the best!!! 2Tbsp is only 45 calories, 1.5g fat, and 5 Protein. I get it from my local nutrition store. I was told that Hyvee had it at one time.

You can order it online. I know their webpage has a store locator to who sells it, but there were none in my area.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
