  1. I know it's bad for you, full of calories, and a sin. But I'm going to the beach next week and I would really like a drink. I have always been a bourbon or rum and coke guy. Is it okay to have carbonation every once in a while like that?
  2. My first fill is tomorrow and I'm kinda nervous about the needle, but I'm really wondering about eating before hand. My appointment isn't till 11am and I am usually starving hen I wake up in the mornings. Is it okay to eat breakfast or is it like surgery don't eat anything after midnight?
  3.    Cazzy reacted to a post in a topic: Am I In Bandser Hell?
  4. I am nearly 6 weeks post op and I get my first fill on the 16th. I can tell you the half cup doesn't work for me right now. I tried and tried and my blood sugar would drop till I got sick. I am cutting back now so I have an easier time adjusting to my half cup after I have a fill, but until this week I have pretty much given up on the half cup at a time. Some people may be able to do it, but I can not do a half a cup at a time with no restriction. I don't eat anywhere near as much as I used to, but I do more than half a cup.
  5. Just curious ask to how long it is suggested to wait before trying a sip of a drink? One of my best friends is getting married in a couple weeks and I know I'm definitely staying from champagne.
  6. I think the reason they warn about shrimp is that people have a tendency to just put a whole shrimp in their mouth or in two big bites depending on the size of the shrimp. I have been told shrimp is fine just be sure to take small bites and chew.
  7. I asked my dr. About it and was told just because you might can get it down doesn't mean you should. I was informed that for losing weight there are few worse foods because sure it has protein but it also has carbs and fat and no one actually stops at a table spoon.
  8. I had been told anything that just about anything that could be pureed down to baby food consistency, which pasta with sauce should puree down to.
  9. I am starting Pureed foods today is there anything that i just absolutely need to stay away from? My family is having pasta tonight and I am really wondering if I could attempt pasta if I pureed it with the sauce, but any generally do and do not suggestions are more than welcome.
  10. I knew thin crust would work better. I just wasn't sure if people still had problems with that. I make homemade dough and do really thin crust, like almost see through before it's cooked. Really hoping i will be able to try it in a few weeks.
  11. Ive seen where people say they don't eat pizza. Is it the nutrition part or is it one of those things that is just hard to eat with the band.
