I felt horrible day 2. Regrets, just not feeling right. I had very little pain which I could've cared less about. It was all the other feelings, nausea, anxiety, lump in my throat, gas. Today is day 5 and I feel pretty great. It will get better. Hang in there!

I had mine on June 13, so we are basically in the same boat! Yes, currently I feel horrible, I keep thinking whyyyy?? and why isnt it getting easier quicker. But all things take time. Can't do anything about it now, so I keep trying to look at the future and just take it day by day. I am one day ahead of you and believe me day 2 IS THE WORST!

Honestly, it probably took me 8 or so days. Just periodic feelings of regret, anxiety, "OMG what have I done", random pains, etc. Post-op was much more painful and challenging than I anticipated. I was banded 5/30 and overall feel MUCH better mentally and physically. Hang in there and go easy on yourself. :-)

Boy am I glad I found yall. I was banded on June 13th - right in there with you. Today is first day back to work. Not good at all - totally agree on the "What have I done?" I didn't expect recovery to be this way either. Lump in throat is the worst. and I guess gas in lower left quadrant ....

I know I have to be patient ..... give it time .... just very relieved to see others in the same boat.

thank you for sharing.... better days to come

Hey guys...I was banded June 15. Today, I'm feeling better.. So far, the pain is gone and I'm able to move around. I keep myself driving Water or juice... I still have some gas but I try to walk around the apartment for bit until it goes away.

Today, I'm getting kinda hungry... I'm getting tired of the Clear liquids... But let's stay strong ! At the end we going to see great results!

Hang in there! It's a learning curve for sure. You think before surgery that you're prepared for the changes that lie ahead, but after it's done, and you have no choice but to go by the rules, it's kind of a shock.

I can tell you though, it does get better. Much better. I'm 4 weeks out and feel fantastic. The weight is coming off, I've figured out my eating routine, and exercise is becoming an addiction.

I am on day 7 a week ago wed. The first two days after surgery I had the worst throbbing headache that had me to tears. I figured after it was from lack of diet coke. It went away after about 3 days total. I have only been drinking Protein Drinks muscle milk, chicken broth, juice, and Water. I have no cramping and diarrhea for the last 2 days. I called the doctor and they are having me come in tomorrow at 10 am. I am a little confused since I see that it seems normal from the message boards. I have the cramping in the middle of my stomach.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
