Bcbs Of Il Anyone......?

Recommended Posts

I have BC/BS of IL. My surgeon's office faxed my paperwork over on Thursday evening and BC/BS faxed an approval letter the next day...so my approval came in less than 24 hours. I was pretty impressed. I was told by the surgeons office that it takes about a month to hear back, and the insurance told me it usually took 7-10 days to review and approve/deny. So 24-hour turn around was completely unexpected.

I have not started the process yet. In really nervous because the only doctor I've ever had was an ob/gyn when my kids were born. What should I do?!

I would research your area and find the best known doctor for the procedure. Contact your Insurance and see what they cover and what critiria you have to have for approval or if self pay just contact the doctors office and get started. You should be able to contact them for the information and they should help you get started. You can see all the things I did in my signature. Let me know if you have any questoins. Im still new to all this, but I might have some advise.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
