I was considering self pay and my husband and I were wondering if the insurance would ever cover the fills or if there is problems with the band down the road. I didn't know if it was something they would consider pre exsisting and not cover it for a period of time or if they would never cover it. I have BCBS of IL if anyone knows. Thanks.

They said they needed more paper work and the surgeon wasn't giving them what they asked for. But the surgeons office said they sent thm what they needed. so it was a big mess.

I have been denied three times by BCBS of IL and now I have t write an appeal to go with my surgeons appeal. I was wondering if anyone else has been is this situation and what kind of things you said in your appeal. I am very frustrated at this point. I don't know how much longer I can do this. The approval process is very stressful. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is there anyone on here who is from Northwest Ohio? That is were my sister lives and she is considering having lapband. Her insurance does not cover it so anybody knowing anything about lapband in that area would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I know lapband surgerys vary in price but I'm not sure if my insurance will pay for mine and was wondering what everyone else has paid and what exactly that covers like fills, post op appoinments?
