Lapband Over Bypass

I was just wondering if anyone has had lapband over a failed bypass. I heard Carnie Wilson did it but wondered if anyone on here is in that situation.

That is awesome I hope the wish the best for the both of them.

The support group I was going to had so many people who had gained 50 plus pounds a few years after bypass sugery that they actually formed a special group. It was getting so depressing watching them cry every month. It must be pure hell to go through WLS and then have it fail and destroy all of your hopes and dreams. This is why I like the band, the stoma size can be adjusted and it doesn't stretch. Good luck with whatever you decide.

THat is horrible I didn't realize there were so many. I did decide to get the lapband. I am a former bypass patient. It was really hard for me to talk about it I didn't want anyone to know. I feel like I completely failed.. I do feel blessed that I am haveing a second chance at losing weight. I am totally focused and ready to start this new journey. I am ready to change my life for good. I am waiting on insurance to approve the surgery. Hopefully not much longer. Thank you for your comment it helped alot.

Good luck! You are not a failure!!!! I think that we are all so different. For me the quantity eating helped me choose the lapband. I know my habits:( this second time around for you will be a great opportunity to use the tools, follow the rules, and succeed. You are going to do great!
