Good luck with it - I found the day before a bit like a dream, was this all real? and also part of me was wanting to run screaming to the nearest McDonalds saying please don't do this!!! But I ignored that voice and got on with it and here I am now 1 day post op :-)

How did going back to work feel? Did you tell your colleagues? How are you doing now?

I work 10hr/6days and I was tired. Only person who knew about my surgery was the Fire Chief (I am not a firefighter, just a dispatcher). Everyone thought I was out sick for four days. I feel GREAT!!! Some co-workers still have no clue, but think it is unhealthy for me to be losing weight so fast. I tell them not to worry I have everything under control.

I work for a contracting company in the Middle East. I am now the Fire Chief Admin. I am usually stuck at a desk or in meetings.

I was banded on May 2nd. I've had so much emotional support it's overwhelming but I'm sick & tired of the back pain. Drs say its gas pain but I've walked around & taken my sometimes it's better often times its the same.. I hit an emotional low yesterday- crying & fearing I had made a terrible mistake. It's effecting my sleep as well - sleeping in 4hr incrimendments.

I was banded on 12 of April and I did that the first few nights. My hubbs said it was almost like having a infant in the house. I took Phazyme to help with the gas pains. I went through the emotional roller coaster and just didn't want anyone to be around me. Until one day after waking up many times, I looked at myself in the mirror and told myself I will over come this. I will take control of my life!

Good Luck to you!

I felt EXACTLY the same way. Yesterday felt like a dream. That is the best way to describe it.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
