What about U have U heard anything?

Hi Pepper!

I just had my medical clearance appointment Friday and all is good to go! They said it will take a couple weeks for everything to be submitted. Aghh! I can't wait. But my patient coordinator said the day they submit she wants me to start the pre op diet because it should be quick!

Pepper, I am June 8th as well, but I haven't gotten insurance approval yet. I start my pre-op on Friday; I am in Wylie, going through True Results in Richardson and having my surgery at Trophy Club.

Let's keep in touch, you're a few weeks ahead of me, please keep me posted so i will know what to expect when my turn comes. Where R U located I'm in Houston, but having my surgery 45 min away in Conroe TX. I started with true results but they are out of network so they referred me to this Doc. Hope all goes well with the per op diet what does it consist of. Don't be scared be thankful you will do well I' will B praying for U.

Drpepper... I'm having my surgery here in my hometown. I'm in north Texas a town called Denison. It's about an hour north of Dallas. I'll be sure and keep you updated with anything I learn. :-) My pre op diet is just like a slim fast type thing. 2 Protein shakes and a healthy meal. I'm trying not to be scared, I think it's just the "unknown" that I'm scared of. Take care and keep in touch!

Hey have U heard anything? I started the Pre op diet Friday also but I've not been very successful but each day is better than the day before, all of my commitments are over now, I didn't think much off them when I said ok to the docs office to move my date from the 29th to the 9th of June. I'm really excited today I received a call the other day from the hospital. Saying my insurance will pay 100% for my surgery I feel really blessed today and I truly thank the Lord Jesus Christ for that.

I in Pearland TX just southeast of Houston I started with True Results but they were out of network so after all of my weightloss visits they refered me to one of their Doctors that were in my network.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
