Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to check-in. My procedure was scheduled for 10:30 a.m. but did not get started until 11:10. By 12:30 the doctor was out talking to my relatives in the waiting area. I was consious by 1:00 and off to my swallow test by 1:30. Left the hospital by 4:00 and home by 5:00.

So far minimal discomfort but nothing I would classify as pain. Have not taken any pain meds other that the meds they gave me in recovery. My throat is bothering me more than my abdomen (from the intebation).

I am up walking, eating popsicles, drinking water/crystal light annd chicken broth with some Protein power mixed in.

I consider myself to be very lucky and very thankful for all the prayers I have received.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks all. Still doing well. Slept through the night and have not touched any pain meds including Tylenol. I am amazed at how smoothly things went. I think I should get some money back from the surgeon for making his job so easy.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
