Walk for the gas pain! I know it is the worst but walking really does help. You may want to change from Gummy to liquid or even childrens chewables. I had problems taking the gummies at first but I can take them now (banded 2/3/12). The gummy seems to stick together and that could be a problem when trying to pass through the band. Congrats and Good Luck on a new you!!!

Thanks for that. I am trying to move around as much as possible. I can't find liquid Vitamins anywhere. I'll just stick thru it. (no pun intended) haha. Any advice on the breathing. Dr thinks it's gas but it is so uncomfortBle.

It is most likely gas. I know it is hard to move around but the more you do the better you will feel. They have liquid vitiamins at the Walmart. I have only found one kind but they were on the top shelf and you can even ask someone at the pharmacy counter for help.

I was banded on the 20th and actually feel really good. Today, I just feel a general stiffness and not the pain I have felt for the first few days. My port area is still sore when I get out of bed, but it is slowly hurting less and less. Last night was the first night I did not wake up during the night to take my pain meds.

I didn't have too bad of gas pains, but have been walking a lot, drinking peppermint tea, and used a heating pad for some slight pain I got in my shoulder last night.

I did try some Vitamins yesterday (children's) but won't be using them again today. They made my tummy feel really weird. I am expecting my O-Purity chewable vitamins by Unjury to arrive today, so I will probably start those tonight. I am also taking a squeezable Coromega Omega-3 Orange pouch for fish oil, Biotin 5000, and a sublingual B12 because the other two bariatric band vitamins had 833% B12 and O-Purity only had 100%.

I have been using my little lung incentive spirometer. I am still not back to the capacity pre-surgery, but got awfully close today. Each day gets better as the pain goes away. I just am unable to breathe in deep enough because it hurts my stomach/diaphragm.

Hi everyone. I was banded on March 20 and am having some of the same symptoms. I can not take a deep breath either. I am also not feeling hungry. I know I am supposed to gave 60 grams of Protein a day but I really can't stand those shakes any more. Anyone have any suggestions for Proteins. Thanks

Gas x strips work! I took two and started burping up a storm. Those will help with gas. I got smart smoothies from complete nutrition the chocolate mint tastes just like mint chic chip ice cream.

So my incisions are all doing great except my one incision where my port is a bit more red and warm. The breathing seems to be getting a little harder as well......

Is taking Vitamins critical? Is it because you can't eat so much in the first few weeks so u need the vitamins? Will be joining you all March 30th :)

Hope you are all healing well and quickly :)

I was banded on the 20th and had horrible gas pains, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. The second day was the worst. I figured out what was causing all my extra gas and stomach pains---it was the sucralose in the Isopure Protein Drink. My body cannot tolerate sucralose. As soon as I stopped taking the Isopure, I felt 100% better. Now I am just trying to walk around more to alleviate the gas pains. I am feeling great today, how about you?

I am still in some pain. I really do not have any appetite what so ever. It is hard to force myself to have anything. My doctor prescribed me a liquid pelvis which taste absolutely horrible. I really do need to start getting more Protein in because I really do not want to loose my hair.< /p>

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
