string cheese - light 50 calories - i think it's sargento's - a fair amount of food that settles hunger for 50 calories.

Wow! Ok that sounds good

Plain Greek yogurt is like eating sour cream! 1) 2 % Greek Yogurt is not as sour as the 0%, 2) For a snack I would add splendra which helps a lot. Also choose one with fruit it in that helps a lot. It dissolves so you don't get a grittiness (which I got with Truvia).

For Breakfast I have Chobani Greek yogurt (with fruit), non flavored benefiber, 1/2 scoop whey isolate vanilla Protein powder, and splendra. Mix well. I then add 1/4 cup high Protein Kashi Go Lean.

I am a fit of a Chobani flavor snob: my favorites Cherry, Apple Cinnamon, Raspberry, Pinapple, Peach.

Yoplait light is 110 calories and they have a thousand flavors and they r actually really good. Some of my favs are Boston creme pie. Only thing is if it is fruit flavored (ie. strawberry shortcake) it will have fruit in it. But they have lots of flavors that don't. They have lemon pie as well and orange creme is amazing!

there is a light yogurt that is only 60 calories - banana cream pie flavored - have to look at calories of light yogurts some are much higher than others

I've had all the light yogurts that I enjoy. It's just become boring and I need to mix it up a bit. Thank you for your suggestions :)

Yogurt of any kind makes me gag! I put hot sauce or salsa on cottage cheese but it seems most people prefer a fruit thing. I also sometimes eat those new Bel Vita breakfast cookies...they have a few grams of Protein and are good to have in my purse.Lots of nuts and those little rectangles of cheese.

I try to keep Snacks in my purse all the time that have Protein and Fiber in them, in case I am on the run and get hungry. South Beach has a great new snack bar - 100 cal, 6 Protein, 6 Fiber and comes in chocolate Almond and Peanut Butter flavor. I buy those at my Walmart and they are usually in the Pharmacy/protein bar area. Walmart also has a new "house" brand of protein meal bars that are actually decent. The almonds are great... I just have trouble eating the right portions. I just bought some 100 calorie packs of natural almonds, and some Bumble Bee tuna salad ready-to-eat kits (150 cal., 9 protein) to keep in my stash.

I find the further I get along in this journey, the more important it is to always have good choices readily available. It keeps me from getting really hungry and making those not-so-good choices!

Good luck!

Be careful on some of those yogurts, they can be very high in sugar.

I buy carbmaster from Ralph's and top with some fruit and a little bit of granola.

They come in flavors too, but I don't know how they taste. It is a better option than greek yogurt and not as unhealthy as regular yogurt. Only 3 grams of sugar in the vanilla flavor.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
