I Want To Be A Mentor

I currently "mentor" 3 people, but I came back on here because not only do I want to spread my positive support... But I want to take people along my journey... What do you people think? I wanted to almost have a video blog and invite people to see what happens lol I lost over 100 pounds and I'm thinking of having cosmetic surgery to correct what I cannot fix with the gym. I know a lot of people in our shoes feel the same way... But I don't really know if this is a good site for it.. Should I you tube it? Anyway, I would love to support anyone in my area (long island-NY)! I'm proud to be a banded beauty.. And I'm happy to rejoin this great site!

OMG! I would love to have mentor, I was banded on April 3 2013, and I have lost no weight no weight since then, I currently weight 220, and my age is 45 I think maybe because I am too old maybe that's I can't lose the weight. I feel so sad, I was working as school counselor broke my leg now it's ok but gained the weight lost my job can't lose the just feel awful about everything, I am sorry I you said you are willing to mentor I didn't mean to dump my sob story on you, but if you would be my mentor I would love that now more than anything in this world now!! My email is counselor.khan@yahoo.com and my # is (619)277-6724

I don't think age has anything to do with the success or failure of lapband surgery. There are a lot of older people on this board who have had great success with this tool. I'm 54 and very pleased with my loss so far; it's slower than some but at the same time I like a loser band, I'm fairly sedentary, I'm just out of menopause...all factors that contribute to a slower loss. But hey, 2 lbs/week is perfect for my lifestyle.

You are recently banded and it is normal you haven't lost yet...you are still healing. Please don't feel bad about this; it is absolutely normal. Many people actually gain a bit after surgery while waiting to find their sweet spot. Please give your band some time; follow your postop directives to the letter and you will see...this will work for you, but you need to do your part, too.

Thank you so much knowing that makes

Me feel better, I kept thinking I was too old and maybe that's why I was not losing the weight but this helps a lot, thanks again.

I would love to have a mentor
