Got my first fill yesterday 2cc in my 10cc band, guess my grits were a little too thick this morning. After about 10 bites the next one felt like it was sitting at the top of my throat, didn't yak but sure had a lot of PB's. This is restriction, right?

Laddie..... bet they were the pack if instant grits.... I can't eat them either. The first few months i could then one morning after about fill number 4.... (14cc band).... up then came along with the coffee...

New Me.... never heard of that.... my dr said i could have oatmeal in the mushy stage.... too bad i don't eat oatmeal.

Like is said before..... lots of trial and error.... one day you will be eating pizza... then the next after a fill... you wont

Good luck

2 cc's for first fill, may be short lived, could even be inflamation which will clear shortly. But don't fret, that's how it goes untill you get it adjusted properly.

I am guessing its swelling from the fill. I have had two fills and both times I felt restriction for a few weeks and then it subsided. I have some restriction but not at green zone yet. My third fill is tomorrow! Wish me luck! I'm down 35 lbs. Banded 10/12/11.

New Me: I just came back from my 1st PO visit with surgeon and nutritionist after having surgery last Friday and I his recommendations also say we can have oatmeal on Stage II diet. However, I have noticed on this site there are different rules for different docs so it's best to check again and make sure and stick to what your doctor requires. I have to say, I am looking forward to having oatmeal tomorrow morning as it has some substance.

My nut said anything that will fit through a straw (if you were to use one) was allowed, but again go with your doctor.

Yes ! go with your Doctor...

I'm kinda thinking swelling. You'll see if in a week maybe, that you will be able to swallow that. Restriction is just like that though.

Just a little more permanint "GOD i NEED SPELLCHECK FOR THIS SITE." It will come in time.

Thank you all for replying, the more experienced Bandsters I believe you're right. It was swelling cause I haven't had any problems since yesterday.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
