Weight Loss Slowing Down

Recommended Posts

I went for my 7 month weigh in, and I didn't loose a pound from the previous month. The Nurse said that's not too bad because I didn't gain a pound either, but I could have literally flipped that room upside down. She said to think of it as holiday fever. She also said they I may have reached my plateau. However...I admitted I haven't been drinking my 64 oz. of Water a day. That's a REAL problem for me. The doctor also said that I might not have lost pounds, but I may have lost inches. What's the difference? Does water play a major part in this? Could it have mad a difference in the scale if I menstruating that day? Reason I ask that...I've been weighing myself on the same scale at home for the past 7 months, and according to that scale...I lost 4 pounds since last month. HELP!!

Time of day and bloating from menstation will absolutely affect your weight.

It is quite common to retain Fluid while menstruating so u will weigh heavier. Fluid intake can affect weight loss so try and increase your Water intake if you can .. Sometimes my scales differ from those at the doctors depending on what time of day they weigh you, what u had to eat that day etc, so u could easily weigh 4lbs different from what u were expecting. Dont sweat it and keep looking at your own scales :)

Time of day, what clothes you were or weren't wearing etc. So if you have been weighing yourself at home , the same time every day and your scale shows a loss then you probably have lost. But as your Dr says it doesn't really amtter because you haven't gained. Everyone hits a plateau at some point. So long as you stick with the programme you will start losing again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
